In Isojärvi National Park, wooded mountains and deep ravine valleys alternate in a landscape shaped by the Ice Age. The wilderness atmosphere is brought by the calling of the loon on the lakes and the beaver silently gliding on the surface of the water. You may not necessarily see the beaver, but you can’t fail to notice its tracks. The cabins built amidst the millions of years old canyon valleys, and the bicycle paths smoothed by the hands of loggers, whisper stories from the logging camps of half a century ago. At the Heretty Loggers’ Cabin café, you can enjoy coffee and rent bicycles, canoes, or hiking equipment for your trip. Go and experience the scenery of Isojärvi – a journey far into the past!
